CHALLENGES: Legacy Bank was founded in September 1999 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The bank wanted to present a new concept to its target customers - the business and professional community. This concept would be based on old-fashioned principles of exceptional service, customer focused products, and highly skilled staff. Legacy Bank wanted to convey these principles through dramatic architecture that would support retail transactions, foster more personal customer interactions, and create interest in the bank's services and products. SOLUTIONS: There is not a teller line at Legacy Bank. Personal Bankers situated at the entries serve this role in a "sit down" environment. Customers generally remark that "This does not look like a bank" which provides the opportunity for Legacy Bank staff to explain their unique banking services. Round tables and warm cherry finishes provide an inviting environment. Dramatic elements such at light wells, the juxtaposition of angular features and custom curvilinear counters, glass segmented walls, and contemporary furnishings define the architectural model for Legacy Bank. |
